Self-taught in piano, drums, guitar, and bass, Rune has drawn inspiration from a wide array of musical styles utilizing essences rather than direct influences by the bands and genres he appreciates. Experimental in nature, A Veil Of Water has been mostly associated with post-rock and neoclassical styles, yet remains faithful to its re-occuring melancholic theme. 

In short, A Veil Of Water tries to capture fleeting sensations, momentary glimpses, and feelings of longing, producing a musical representation of his internal world.

Description: David Teboul goes by the moniker Linear Bells. He is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and sound artist based in Nantes, France. His music is a mix between, vintage instruments, sound manipulations and field recordings, all primarily created with acoustic and analogic instruments. 

Proudly presented by Hidden Vibes, "For Your Eyes Only" was composed and produced over a period of 4 months whereby it was practiced over improvised sessions played outside only (gardens, beaches) and recorded on a reel to reel Ampex system, followed by processing all the materials with the use of cello, piano, guitars and field recordings. 

"For Your Eyes Only" can be seen as a new step in the work of Linear Bells as unlike of his previous works David Teboul tried here to keep his songs as acoustic as it could be, trying not to over process his sounds to keep this wonderful fragility alive and that makes this album a little jewel of intimacy where hidden treasures await you.

Description: This self-titled album is the fifth release by Danish recording artist So I'm An Islander. The island of weird, beautiful and magical atmospheres is again explored through a melting put of genres spanning from the neoclassical to the alternative/experimental. Inspired by the Southern Jutlandic culture, this album exposes the listener to a variety of small bits of histories and momements told through instrumental tracks. Three different visual artists from three different places on the planet were asked to contribute with some artwork to this album, and they had no limits nor guidance whatsoever; just the music as inspiration. The front and back cover (plus bonus artwork #1) are the works of Danish artist Liv Kira Seitzberg.

Description: So I'an Islander is a solo-project of Søren Nissen Jørgensen from Denmark. Founded back in May of 2011, the project has been quite productive, yet very underrated. The discography of So I'm An Islander consists of several digital EPs and albums, and The Old Theatre and Its Forgotten Songs has been the most listened among them (according to the last.fm website). The tracklist of an album may vary, if you see it on the different websites, but it doesn't change the fact, that you meet very calm and peaceful pieces of instrumental piano music with occasional involvement of strings and other instruments here. The atmosphere in So I’m An Islander’s music can be defined as old, mysterious and warm and definitely very evocative. Highly recommended. Description: been missing some neofolk on the blog? Today I present you a beautiful one-man project from Italy, Ishtar. Playing keyboards in Adveniat Hiems and LustNotes, Ishtar has been part of the Italian musical scene for more than a decade. This project presents instrumental tracks laying somewhere between the neofolk and neoclassical genres. Music themes are focused on memories, myths and visions, enriched with a touch of melancholy and a strongly personal interpretation. Although the style has its roots in Northern Europe and is heavily influenced by the sounds of bands such as Ulver (in Kveldssanger) and Empyrium, the Italian nature of the project dominates the style, making it unique, unusual and deeply rooted. Highly recommended.
