This is the last edition of our free download compilation series. After 3 years, 310 tracks and 27,000 downloads it felt like the right time to end things. The process of receiving and curating submissions has been at times a mammoth task, but always enjoyable. Introducing us to a range of new artists, some of who went on to release individual works with us, SEQUENCE has been integral to the development of Futuresequence into a label. 

A huge thank you to all the artists who have submitted tracks for each of the albums - those whose appeared and those who didn't. Thanks once again to friends Pascal Savy, Ed Hamilton and Karl McGrath who gave their time and ears to listen to all 200 or so submissions and help curate the final tracklist you see here.

Description: "Transgression" is a third release on Hidden Vibes by Amandus Schaap, an ambient producer from the Netherlands also active on the Myosotis project.

When Amandus put together the setlist to this release he had a lot of tracks already finished, laying about. He decided to go with a drone theme this time around. The tracks on Transgression are mainly built up from multilayered synths accompinied with a lot of microsounds, statics, vinyl sampling, scrapes and minimal guitar textures, alot of these slightly hidden in the high register. There are some vocal patterns holding the melody in place, but most of the experience is built upon textures.

The idea for the title of the third track, Reject All You Have Learned, comes from a quote of one of musician's favorite philisophers Emil M. Cioran. "Chaos is rejecting all you have learned, chaos is being yourself." This track is a lenghty experiment in which Amandus tries to give form to the chaos he experiences in life.


This album really shines when you take off your headphones and listen to the tracks on a well equipped stereo setup.

The vinyl version of "Transgression" comes on virgin 180 grams vinyl, and comes in a gatefold sleeve with beautiful artwork designed and produced by Tessel Dekker.

Description: Gamardah Fungus – is a band from Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, Eastern Europe. In 1992 the prequel of "Twin Peaks" movie by David Lynch was released. It was named "Fire Walk With Me". That movie has left a great impression on us and raised a number of questions about the psychology of the individual and the mysticism of the world, about art of seeing the true nature of things and much more... 

Over the years we have found many answers for those questions. But not for all. Even now we continue to search the rest, inter alia, with the help of our music. 

That's why we've decided to call our sixth studio album "Night Walk With Me". An allusion to the name of a famous movie in this case is also caused by the atmosphere of the album - meditative, mystical, sleepy and contemplative. 

We think this album will be a nice soundtrack for your dreams, for nightly travels in the subconscious and in the new worlds of external space. Moreover, as David Bowie's character in Twin Peaks has said: "We are living in a dream ... "

Description: This self-titled album is the fifth release by Danish recording artist So I'm An Islander. The island of weird, beautiful and magical atmospheres is again explored through a melting put of genres spanning from the neoclassical to the alternative/experimental. Inspired by the Southern Jutlandic culture, this album exposes the listener to a variety of small bits of histories and momements told through instrumental tracks. Three different visual artists from three different places on the planet were asked to contribute with some artwork to this album, and they had no limits nor guidance whatsoever; just the music as inspiration. On this record musician has layered quite a bit of guitars, two tracks are almost solely layered processed guitars, and for instance on Drawing Circles there are processed distortion guitars pounding rhythmic phrases.

Description: Myosotis is an ambient duo from the Netherlands. Amandus and Evert have been making music together for around 3-4 years now, at first solely guitars and piano. As of last year they have started producing ambient music together because of a mutual interest for ambient, which they entitled the Myosotis project. First intentions of a duo were to create "two sides of the same coin", which would include Light as well as Dark ambiences, and to combine the two.

Intersection is a debut release of Myosotis containing eight carefully selected tracks and being a kind of summary of years, that musicians spent working and experimenting in search of their own sound.
