So, the New Year has come. It's quite a time to see, what happened to Hidden Vibes artists discographies, since they got posted on the blog. A brief overview with just a couple of words for each album:

1) fydhws / aiRless pRoject Split. Five experimental tracks from friendly Macedonian music projects, both previously posted on Hidden Vibes. Links: Last.fm | Download

2) mobdividual - the first three. mobdividual has gathered his three previous EPs into one release. Here you can find them as full tracks, not split into small pieces. Links: Last.fm | Stream

3) EUS - Aire. A one-track release that had been born as an outtake from the latest full-length, Vhinto No Dresce. Originally it was supposed to be a part of it, but wasn't included. Reworked after, it was released as a single. Links: Last.fm | Download

4) Lattice - Self Inside. Lattice latest works, ambient at its best, as usual. Links: Last.fm | Download

5) Creation VI - Svitanok. Creation VI released a new EP, that consists of one drone ambient track with ethnic and psychedelic notes. Links: Last.fm | Download

6) Golden Gardens - The Covers. Released on December, 6th, 6 dreamgaze covers of well-known songs. Great collection. Links: Last.fm | Download

7) Living Arches/Golden Gardens Split. Golden Gardens have been very productive and also made a wonderful split album with Living Arches, with two brand new tracks, presented on it. One of these tracks has also been featured on Hidden Vibes Vol. 3 compilation later. Links: Last.fm | Stream

 8) Mealann - Das Ritual. A single by Mealann, now exploring the world of ritual ambient. Links: Last.fm | Download

9) Annorkoth - Annorkoth. A solid self-titled work from depressive black metal project, Annorkoth, this time containing more than an hour of atmospheric black metal. Links: Last.fm | Download

10) Lullabies Under A Grey Sky - Autumn. A EP of four ambient tracks, dedicated to autumnal landscapes. Links: Last.fm | Download

11) Echo Gardens - Purple. A splendid LP from Ukrainian band Echo Gardens, quite a nice present for New Year. Again lots of genres mixed there: folk, indie and dream pop notes can be easily heard. Links: Last.fm | Stream

Description: Der Einsiedler is second full-length album of ambient act Mealann from Poland, found in August 2011 by Eija Risen from numerous projects like Risen v0id, Cold Womb Descent, Astral Monolith and few electronic ones. After releasing the debut album and two splits with friends, second full length release combines everything that made this project up to that day.

Album contains eight instrumental tracks, whose titles are nouns in German language. Its sound is an excerpt from perception of a lonely ranger inside, but outside of the big city, searching for traces of beauty beneath overwhelming sadness. Slow and repetitive, yet painstaking pieces of melody in the vein of ambient black metal Burzum releases, reminding of bands like Sieghetnar and Spectral Lore combine open and free atmosphere partially bound by traces of grim thoughts and unstable mood.

Let's count: a cool opener from Invisible Elephant from UK, two exclusive tracks from Latvian one-man band Sun Devoured Earth, great shoegaze/dream pop songs from Anilore, Golden Gardens and C'est la Mort, a track from our old friend, Macedonian one-man project fydhws, mindblowing Free by Tales Of Murder And Dust, great droning piece by Portraits of American Firing Squads, epic and just amazing post-rock track from This Is My Normal State, elegant Stepping Stones by A Veil OF Water, and finally a closer from Ukraine, by Summer God Teachings. Description: A Veil Of Water is a one-man project, started up somewhere in the deep valleys of Norway in 2011.By now only four tracks recorded, but four very good and enjoyable tracks. Careful authors attitude to each melody makes you wanna listen to them over again. Mostly the music revolves around a single piano, though tracks Nostalgia and Stepping Stones include beautiful e-bowed guitar solos, I hope I defined that right, which makes songs sound closer to post-rock.
