Description: hooray, it's finally out. The first, and definitely not the last compilation of chosen tracks from Hidden Vibes. It was a very long road from the birth of an idea to create this compilation till the day it all got finalized.

Hidden Vibes Vol.1 is a pretty good introduction to this blog, perfect thing to start with, if you want to get into the Hidden Vibes stuff. It contains chosen tracks from chosen artists, some of them could have already been heard, some of them are quite exclusive, and I'm honored to say that for Gamardah Fungus, Creation VI and Non Dolet tracks this is the first appearance to people.

I want to say special thank you to all of artists, who agreed to participate, it's quite pleasant that number of interested was way bigger, than number of tracks needed for the tracklist. Thank you all. For all those, whose tracks did not appear here - I'm keeping all of them for the Vol. 2, which will follow Vol. 1 very, very soon.

Description: this is a quite amazing split album from two artists from Lithuania, making you regret that total playing time is only around 20 minutes. Stellardrone, ambient/electronic composer from Vilnius, Lithuania, represents two tracks of great spacey music, just in vein of his previous longplays and with strong feeling of melody behind the atmosphere. They are followed by two strong electronic tracks from Surdr, a sound experimentalist, who comes also from Vilnius. Basically they follow the general atmosphere of an album, even though the sound is pretty much different, mainly because of beautiful female vocals. This is worthy to listen, totally.

Description: IN_OUT is a brand new compilation from Deadhouse Netlabel, including artists, who make ambient, drone and experimental noise. Recorded during the summer of 2011, it contains material of musicians from Russia and neighbouring countries.

From the very beginning, IN affects you with a special misterious atmosphere of its opening track. It is followed by two guitar based passages, Tears of Void, sounding closer to the classic drone doom compositions, and Kiev Underground, a track of Gamardah Fungus who have already been posted on Hidden Vibes before, offering you a wide flow of sound, very haunting. After becoming completely hypnotized, you are being thrown into the abyss of NulluS dark heavy sound, way more raw than previous tracks, but still impressive. Finally, after listening the closer of the first part of a compilation the conclusion can be made - especially good for lovers of drone and doom music with the involvement of live instruments.

Depressed, the opening track for the OUT part is represented by the same artist who started the IN part, Byōki no nō, yet the sound is completely different and prepares you to hearing the experimental part of the tracklist. A very wide range of sound, seems like artists have made a deal not to repeat each other in their avant-garde experiments. Pretty much outstanding are Abyss and Flame, structured composition with tons of atmospheres, and Sleeping Ethernia, a noisy and scizophrenic outroduction of this exciting trip. The conclusion of OUT is - good for lovers of sonic experentalism, and unusual ways of creating music. 

The general verdict for the compilation is its total worthiness of being downloaded to widen your musical horizons. Enjoy using following links:

Description: enough ambient has been posted within a couple of last weeks, so it's definitely a proper time for some post-rock.

This Is My Normal State is a post-rock/ambient band from Bristol, South West England. Taking influences from bands such as Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, This Will Destroy You, Mono, Mogwai and Joy Wants Eternity to name a few, the band creates a soundscape of interlocking melodies, typified by the use of reverb drenched guitar loops, and fragile, ethereal vocals.

Mellow post-rock tunes combined with cute female vocals have always been a perfect formula for conquering listeners hearts. In case of This Is My Normal State this works just fine, warm guitar sound and charming voice are called to be a soundtrack for your autumn day. Absolutely enjoyable EP.

Basically, this passage fully describes the essence of what Clinical Archives is. A great place to discover new stuff. Personally, when I was checking the content of this netlabel I pointed out that such keywords as jazz, improvisation, probably folk and psychedelic are dominating. So, actually this netlabel covers lots of genres, but with slight dominance of these ones.
