aiRless pRoject - Dopamine Entities

aiRless pRoject - Dopamine Entities

Genre: IDM/Electronic/Ambient
Format: mp3 | CBR320kbps
Country: Macedonia
Size: 70 Mb

Tracklist:
01. you're not my shrink!
02. untitled
03. beauty fades
04. morning of remission
05. a quest for eternal calmness
06. dopamine entities
07. triggering mixed states at random times
08. my entropy is well-deserved

Description: a continuation of a trip to Macedonian undiscovered music will lead you to aiRless pRoject - an electronic music producing one-man band. The album is primarily influenced by everyday events, and inspiration is drawn from my views of the world and the music I listened to in the period of making, that is September 2009 to February 2010. If I had to single out some artists from the bunch, I'd say Aphex Twin, Casino Versus Japan, Kettel and Boy Is Fiction from the electronic music side, and Joy Division, Sonic Youth and Shipping News from the guitar music world.
The music on the album itself could be described as minimalistic, ambient/idm/downtempo-influenced electronica.
A great discovery, totally worthy to give it a try. You can find aiRless pRoject music and download it for free/listen it for free using links below:

Anilore - Still Awake

Anilore - Still Awake

Genre: Shoegaze/Dream Pop
Format: mp3 | CBR128kbps
Country: USA
Size: 52 Mb

Tracklist:
01. Something Always Shines
02. Imagine You
03. More
04. World Ends
05. Soiled Son
06. The Heavy Song
07. Movement
08. Octavia
09. Black Halo
10. Absence
11. DMYH
12. Showers Of Happiness

Description: a great shoegaze record dating back to 1996 and remastered ten years after. The members of Anilore met in 1992 at college. They soon realized that their musical tastes were shaped by the same influences--bands such as Joy Division, the Cocteau Twins, New Order, the Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, Red House Painters, the Pixies, and Nirvana; artists such as Tom Waits and Nick Cave; and the seminal alternative British labels 4AD and Creation Records. After many years of lineup changes, demos, etc., the band recorded their debut album, Still Awake, in 1996. In 2006, guitarist Andrew Malenda decided to re-master Still Awake (c).
Extremely underrated, considering the fact that Anilore's got only 11K scrobbles @ last.fm at the moment, so it's highly recommended to be checked out. A sample track is here:

Последние Каникулы - Семь Ветров

Последние Каникулы - Семь Ветров

Genre: Post-Rock/Ambient/Atmospheric
Format: mp3 | CBR320kbps
Country: Russia
Size: 105 Mb

Tracklist:
01. Семь ветров
02. Восьмой
03. Не перематывай

Description: latest work from Russian one-man-project Последние Каникулы (The Last Holidays in translation). He is trying to write music which is always honest to listeners, there is no commerce in it, no desire to arouse interest of masses, or anyone else. It’s just like it should be, made from the emotions and associations of the author, who is giving a piece of himself in every sound by hard and confident work. (c)
Having taken the direction of instrumental atmospheric post-rock, this album starts with the track Семь ветров (Seven Winds) - a bright, epic and dynamic tune with slightly shoegazing guitar sound. The continuation of album is the second track Восьмой (Eighth), a good piece of ambient music, sounding pretty much like an interlude to the last epic and dynamic closer. But the third one, Не перематывай (Do Not Rewind) is being a great half-hour ambient track, sounding more abstract, than the second one, but containing tons of atmospheres in it, truly majestic yet surprising ending. Totally worthy to at least give it a listen. You can find Последние Каникулы music and download it for free/listen it for free using links below:

Blues for spacegirl - Alice Springs

Blues for spacegirl - Alice Springs

Genre: Ambient/Drone
Format: mp3 | CBR192kbps
Country: Belgium
Size: 55 Mb

Tracklist:
01. Alice Springs
02. Phase incoherence
03. Tethys
04. Glacier spins
 05. Holocene

Description:

Some musings by the author:

Inspirations for this album are visions of sped-up geologic activity, prehistoric things lurking in now-gone oceans, and generally the way things tend to gradually change, be it memories or mountains.

ALICE SPRINGS ventures somewhere in the middle between structure and improv. First half starts out as an hommage to Lee Ranaldo’s epic Amarillo Ramp (for Robert Smithson). Initial plan was a similar improvised, all over-the-place guitar freak-out coda, but along the way I figured there’s no point in repeating what’s been done before & better, so now there’s this metalish, somewhat civil end. It works well enough.

TETHYS is my favorite; it evokes the atmosphere of what I imagine is a prehistoric sea long gone. The song’s entirely improvised, instantly shaping itself in my head while I was tweaking the guitars and synth.

HOLOCENE is a pretty cool closer. The main goal for treating the piano with an overdrive+wah was camouflaging my horrible skills. Secondly, I like borderline-noise. Thirdly, it oddly resembles the sound of contemporary plate activity - if you listen closely

Doug Sharp - Boogafoo Music

08. Zamthrusters Rampant
09. Peodopular Fip Fip (Boogafoo Preview Edition)

Description: while Led Zeppelin were announcing their new label, while 200,000 music fans were attending The California Jam rock festival, while Queen were playing their first North American concert, while AC/DC were performing their first official show with Bon Scott as their new lead singer, back in 1974 Doug Sharp was commiting his crimes against music. A small story by himself will say more than any other words:

In 1974 while I attended St. Olaf’s Paracollege, my best friend Larry Heyl ran the Moog Studio. He taught me how to plug patch cords and fiddle knobs to wring squawks out of the Moog Modular Synthesizer. I was earning a hand-rolled degree in Creative Studies so I added torturing the Moog to my curriculum.

Moog Modular Synthesizer like the one in the St. Olaf Moog Studio

To me the Moog was a machine for making weird noises so I pushed it into uncharted territories of sonic strangeness. I didn’t emulate any musician but indulged in pure sonic experimentation. I taped a handful of tracks and called my album “Babie’s[sic] First Words” Twenty years later my daughter renamed it “Boogafoo Music”, which stuck.

Left: Doug Sharp in ’74 Right: I carried around this 2nd-gen tape for years before digitizing it. No charge for the tape hiss.

So basically this album is a collection of moog tunes, noises or whatever-you-call-it tracks, recorded and carried through years on tape and digitalized after. Notice: this is the weirdest stuff ever been published on this blog and I don't think ever will be again, so catch it right now. Notice number two: 1974. Available at:
