Description: Days flow like a brook waters glittering in the sunlight. Dreams and remembrances get mixed with each other. Morning looks like evening, and night invites to forests where sacral dance of the Nature takes place away from street lamps and strangers' eyes. Getting warmed with sunlight, we come to a new era. Here sand and stones lay beneath fallen conifers' needles. Roots attract lightning bugs when trees lose their leaves and prepare to complete the main life cycle while their bare branches spreads under moonlight, rain and cold winds. Distant thunder sounds like its own echo playing a melody by feathers of ruffled owls. Lightnings turn to stares of angels coming down to Earth as whole World is quivering, pulsating and singing his everlasting song.
This split unites two works which are similar in discovering something new in drone ambient. Two projects - from Kiev, Ukraine and from Minsk, Belarus - explore guitar sound as a tool for developing abstract sound canvases. These abstract constructions are usually based on minimalistic sound streams and textures whose interlacing forms massive soundscapes.

Description: IN_OUT is a brand new compilation from Deadhouse Netlabel, including artists, who make ambient, drone and experimental noise. Recorded during the summer of 2011, it contains material of musicians from Russia and neighbouring countries.

From the very beginning, IN affects you with a special misterious atmosphere of its opening track. It is followed by two guitar based passages, Tears of Void, sounding closer to the classic drone doom compositions, and Kiev Underground, a track of Gamardah Fungus who have already been posted on Hidden Vibes before, offering you a wide flow of sound, very haunting. After becoming completely hypnotized, you are being thrown into the abyss of NulluS dark heavy sound, way more raw than previous tracks, but still impressive. Finally, after listening the closer of the first part of a compilation the conclusion can be made - especially good for lovers of drone and doom music with the involvement of live instruments.

Depressed, the opening track for the OUT part is represented by the same artist who started the IN part, Byōki no nō, yet the sound is completely different and prepares you to hearing the experimental part of the tracklist. A very wide range of sound, seems like artists have made a deal not to repeat each other in their avant-garde experiments. Pretty much outstanding are Abyss and Flame, structured composition with tons of atmospheres, and Sleeping Ethernia, a noisy and scizophrenic outroduction of this exciting trip. The conclusion of OUT is - good for lovers of sonic experentalism, and unusual ways of creating music. 

The general verdict for the compilation is its total worthiness of being downloaded to widen your musical horizons. Enjoy using following links:

Description: Crane's Dreams project, combining into one such musical genres as ambient, drone and neoclassics was born in 2011. Roman Barinov, the only member of this band have decided to create something different from what he'd been doing in his metal project called Liveride. Thematic concept of Crane's Dreams music is not only a bright side of Russian landscapes beauty, but also its dark, ghostly side.

Project compositions combine the ambient base with different noises, nature sounds and voices. The influence of neoclassical music can be heard in some tracks as well, when droning noisy sounds are diluted with detached strings and atmopheric pads. Album cover is made by author. By now the discography of the project consists of one release, dating back to the beginning of spring, 2011 (translated from Russian).

Very good atmospheres here, highly recommended for download for lovers of airy uplifting soundscapes.

Description: loaded energy is a completely underground drone ambient outfit of Attila Varga, a musician from Germany. So obscure that you can hardly find the album cover arts, and information about the project on any of webpages is very poor. At the same time, project's discography reaches 5 albums, published on last.fm, which is really impressive. 

Winterphantasie is a 39 minutes one-track album (or EP whatever), a brilliant work which is a perfect example of what sonic soundscape is. It feels like author has taken a brush and slowly painted a blurry and sleepy winter picture. Progressive and slow hypnosis of the first winter snow, and bleakness, bleakness, bleakness. This is not another sunny day full of shiny white drops. Hypnotic, but in some moments hopeful, this track is nothing else than 39 minutes of pure magic, caught in audio waves. Inspirations for this album are visions of sped-up geologic activity, prehistoric things lurking in now-gone oceans, and generally the way things tend to gradually change, be it memories or mountains.

ALICE SPRINGS ventures somewhere in the middle between structure and improv. First half starts out as an hommage to Lee Ranaldo’s epic Amarillo Ramp (for Robert Smithson). Initial plan was a similar improvised, all over-the-place guitar freak-out coda, but along the way I figured there’s no point in repeating what’s been done before & better, so now there’s this metalish, somewhat civil end. It works well enough.

TETHYS is my favorite; it evokes the atmosphere of what I imagine is a prehistoric sea long gone. The song’s entirely improvised, instantly shaping itself in my head while I was tweaking the guitars and synth.

HOLOCENE is a pretty cool closer. The main goal for treating the piano with an overdrive+wah was camouflaging my horrible skills. Secondly, I like borderline-noise. Thirdly, it oddly resembles the sound of contemporary plate activity - if you listen closely (c).

Description:  Apeiros (Greek word means "infinitely incognizable") is a term Plato used for description of primary matter which is out of principle of the form. Unlike the common matter of the perceived Universe, Apeiros has to contain determinacy principle as it should be the beginning for everything else. But also it means that Apeiros must stay indefinite. Thus here is an actualization of the transcendent into immanent.

«Apeiros» by Creation VI is an original picture of Universe where superstrings theory combines with Plato’s doctrine about the matter and Hindu universe conception combines with quantum mechanics.

The World here looks like united decentralized network where each element can express all others. The World as a universal wave function of indefinite number of vibrating superstrings which all are just monad essences cuts, indefinite archetypes that continuously actualize itself and thus create the stream of unboundedness.
